For my final project, I am expressing my digital media skills through my Marist Flag Football team, the Avengers. I will be using Adobe Photoshop, Audition, WordPress, and Game Theory. For Photoshop, I made a team/album poster, which includes the Avenger team members, and their superhero counterpart. In the top right (shaded behind all of the superheroesI will be Thanos, our enemy. The Marist Flag Football will overlap the superheroes, and the superheroes will overlap Thanos. Further, there will be an ‘Avengers Endgame’ logo that overlaps the flag football players. Moving on to Audition, I will record a rap song that will describe each player on the team. This will initially be recorded in GarageBand, where I have a good amount of experience. The rap will start with a piano doing the Avengers theme, and then jump into the chorus (which will include variations of C-chord) which will include Strings and Brass, then when the verses start there will be a flute that has a melodic feel throughout the rap. The rap will be exported from GarageBand to Adobe Audition, and then will be further edited on Audition. Also, there will be a WordPress site dedicated to the Avengers Efforts. There will be the home page, the Album Cover + Rap page, and the Games page. The Games page will have a 5 game schedule with different superheroes that the Avengers will be facing. This games page will actually be a game theory page, with links to other WordPress site’s Game’s pages within the class. I plan to have these four elements combined to make a time capsule (credit to you Doctor Zaretsky for this term) for my friends and I for years to come. I hope to use Photoshop to show an Avengers Flag Football poster that is similar to the real ones for the movies. This will be all the superheroes (and the flag football players) ready to battle. For the rap, the lyrics will be relevant to each of the players, as well as to the sport of football. The chorus will contain references to the ‘Endgame’ and how we will tell our kids about this experience when we are 40 years (referenced to a speech out middle linebacker: Matty, told us sophomore year before our championship match). The beat at hand will be generated by Garageband, and will be incorporated to the first verse and then carried out through the whole song. In regards to the WordPress site (which the link is posted above), I have had a very positive experience, and have started my own pharmaceutical blog-based WordPress site: Pharmaceutical Place. For the Game Theory, I will use the skills used from class, and make a universe that never ends. This class as a whole has been such a positive experience, and I have made content in the class that has been enjoyable to not only myself, but my family as well (GoodFellas movie).
